Robert is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and has been working in the field for over 20 years with hands on clinical experience. He has developed his specialty working at several Los Angeles and Orange County treatment facilities. His expertise is in treating adolescents, young adults, adults convicted of crimes with mental illness (CONREP), substance abuse, self-harm, and a variety of other emotional and behavioral issues has made him well versed and highly sought out in his field. He is currently working in Orange County, with a population that have been court-ordered assisted outpatient treatment. He also provides both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psycho-Educational Therapy for both The MOST Program & Anger Management for Associated Counseling, and Mediation. In addition, he offers individual, couples, and adolescence therapy using CBT/DBT various modalities.
Robert received his Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Social Science from Boise State University.
His career training background consists of, Crisis intervention with the CAT TEAM (Centralize Assessment Team) with the Local County of Programs- evaluating individual for a Health and Welfare Hold also known as a 5150. Target Training: TARGET was designed to develop best practices in the identification, assessment, and management of threats to Institutes of Higher Education. TARGET consists of members from law enforcement, mental health, academia, and technology. His rigorous training was conducted by the Los Angeles FBI office. His extensive background has made him a well rounded therapist and one of the best in his field.
When Robert is not working, he leads a very active personal life. He takes pride in staying healthy and fit. He is a part of a Spartan team, involved in CrossFit, and enjoys hiking. Above all his activities, he most enjoys his time with family. He is a father of two and a grandfather to three—all of which look up to him as their biggest role model. He instills in them that a well-rounded lifestyle is imperative. Robert exercises his beliefs each and every day!
